Design 4 Inclusion Access Consultancy is headed by Margaret Hickish who is a Consultant Member of the National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC). Margaret is also a member of CABE’s Inclusion by Design group and was a woman of the year in 1997 for her work in the field of inclusion.

Margaret Hickish has an enviable reputation in the Access Consultancy field, a consultant member of the National Register of Access Consultants as well as having an engineering background. She is recognised for her practical and pragmatic approach to inclusive design while supporting the project design ethos.

She has advised on nationally and internationally significant projects and has more than 18 years experience in the field of inclusive design in the built environment. An experienced trainer in disability awareness and the impacts of equality legislation on the built environment.

Margaret is an excellent communicator which is an essential part of access consultancy, with broad strategic skills including policy development she is enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously while devising creative access solutions and using her problem solving skills.

Margaret has extensive experience of advising on aspects and implications of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and other Equality Legislation and has comprehensive experience of setting up , managing and chairing groups of disabled people in focus groups and community liaison.
